Scientific plan introduction

A translational and multidisciplinary approach

At the crossroads of different diseases linked by a common consequence, the tissue destruction and organ failure (heart, liver, kidneys), OpeRa consist on several scientific projects for one program characterised by its translational approach as well as the multidisciplinary fields with the challenge to offer new treatments to patients.

The OpeRa scientific program have interest on nutrition and diseases correlated to metabolic risks (workpackage N°2, WP2), to inflammation (workpackage N°3, WP3), to cardiovascular diseases (workpackage N°4, WP4), to graft rejection and needs of immunosuppression after transplantation (workpackage N°5, WP5), including viewpoints for future graft of composite tissues and tissue regeneration.

A new scope for CarMen research :

Like this, the OPeRa program of research open onto a new scope of CarMeN program managed by the INSERM unit U1060 / INRA 1235/University of Lyon, that is a laboratory of research in the field of cardiovascular diseases, metabolism, diabetology and nutrition, managed by Hubert VIDAL.
